I wish I could advise you on those chemicals' effectiveness, since I have never used them. However, many experienced rosarians with whom I have contacts with find the organic solutions to rose diseases, insects, and mites not very dependable. So, they saved me the time and expense of finding out personally, and be disappointed.

If you mean Bonide Captain Jack‘s copper fungicide, then it is useful.

With fungicides it it important to vary them so the fungi don’t become resistant. Copper soaps can be in that rotation.

I agree with Moses that most of the organic approaches are not worth much. Copper soaps are not organic or natural.

Copper soaps like copper octanoate are OMRI listed.

OMRI listing and organic have a casual relationship to eachother. I really think many people like deluding themselves with the idea that these manufactured chemicals are good for the environment. Go ahead, they are better than some chemicals. They are not organic.

You know that manufacturers have to pay a steep fee to even apply for OMRI listing? OMRI is not a government agency, it’s a private thing. I don’t trust it.
