I have an 8 y.o GE French Door fridge. Technican diagnosed a dead fan motor, which explains why the freezer is plenty cold but the fridge is about 50F.

I've read that when you have the fan motor replaced, you should also replace the capactor.

However, the woman at my dealer's service department swears there's no connection between the two, and if I'd needed a capacitor the tech would have told me.

Tomorrow I have to tell the woman what to order for me. Any advice? Thanks!
