I don’t think you need much there, as the cabinet is such a nice piece to admire.

You could look at doing some artwork, a mirror, a plant, and a small tray to drop things in when coming inside. Here are just a few entryway designs we did recently. We thought they might help inspire you some.

I agree if this is your "coming in/going out" drop zone, then a mirror to check your hair on the way out, a dish or tray for your keys or a bit of mail while you take off your shoes, and a lamp, make good sense.

Your cabinet is too large for that wall. It should not be jammed into the corner. It should have the same amount of space on either side. A smaller, less deep cabinet would be better IMO.

The cabinet is a bit heavy for that small wall…have you tried it under the niche instead?
