It was sort of a wet morning. The rain wasn't enough to do much good--just enough to keep us out of the garden. I didn't get some photos between rain showers.

Absolute Ripper

Broadway Cherry Blast is a miniature tetraploid.

Gryphon Warsaw Rising

You all know I like bright colors. Heavenly Lavender Babe is just not my kind of color. It is, however, a great grower in the garden--tall, well budded, and fast increase.

Heavenly Stuck on You is just like the previous one. I guess I need to breed with them.

Horns and Thorns

The hybridizer says that Jeepers Creepers always has a pattern. It's faint here, but I think she's right. It's a good grower too.

My favorite is your Bodacious Bite seedling. I’m not always fond of teeth but I like this one! I also like Broadway Cherry Blast, smalls have a place here if they are good bloomers. We need some real rain here too.

I like the Heavenly Lavender Babe .Could lack of rain and extreme heat be a reason it is lighter or is this a common color for it?

You have many bright colors blooming. Hope you get more rain.

So many posts I keep missing some! I don’t have a lot of small ones but I like Broadway Cherry Blast. I also like the color on Moving Forward. The Bodacious Bite seedling has a lot of edge going on!

I missed this post yesterday too. You said Hansen daylilies generally don't do well for you. How about Absolute Ripper. Do you get good increase on that one? I've been meaning to ask you about that one.

My favorites from the registered group are Horns and Thorns and Love for Jesus. The first seedling is my pick of the day. I like the subtle color and the double edge!

Debra, Absolute Ripper does fine (so far), but it hasn't shown fast increase. We are also growing some of Dan's edge no eye daylilies--Indiana Melissa and She's Got the Look. They made it through the winter (first year), but I doubt they will ever achieve registered stats. Actually, we haven't grown that many of his. I know he tests some in Curt Hanson's garden, but some of Curt's seem a little tender to us too. Curt is up near Cleveland in Ohio and I suspect he gets more snow than we do.

I was glad to see Jeepers Creepers mentioned, it is coming to my garden this weekend from our daylily club. I rather agree with you about Heavenly Lavender Babe and Stuck on You. I used to like the more delicate looking daylilies, but these days the louder the color, the better I like it. Not fond of orange as a color, but I keep adding more and more to my garden, LOL. I think ;my favorites are you seedlings.

Most of the Hansen seedlings I never saw thrive at Crintonic, but I like multiplication.
