Help me identify a plant please

Hi so I have a plant that has tiny yellow/orange flowers all over it. It's low to the ground and the flowers close when it's cold or dark. They do this weird thing when touched, they spit out tiny little rice like hard things. I kept it because the plant is cute but want to make sure these weird white things aren't going to hurt my other plants. Any ideas what this thing is?

Can you post a picture? We need to know too if this is a cultivated or wild plant and your geographical location. Also add the Name the Plant Forum to your heading.

Meanwhile ... Could this be a fungus rather than a flowering plants? Google artillery fungus.

Very likely Oxalis corniculata (commonly: creeping woodsorrel). Possibly Oxalis stricta which is a more upright plant. It's seed dispersal mechanism was a key clue, Stacie. Kill it while you can. It's hard to be rid of.
