Hi - We recently found black mold on in the garage where the drywall meets the floor. We've had a couple of mold remediation bids (ranging from $2k to $4k) and the process includes getting certain tests done (e.g. asbestos). A contractor I am working with suggested skipping this step and instead, he'd remove the drywall with the mold, spray the necessary chemicals, and then replace the external stucco with waterproof material (to address the main problem). Does anyone have experience with this? Thank you.
