Gypsy Cats Kid X Rip Saw #1 - I had planned to trash this one in the Spring, and then decided to let it bloom one last season. The previous two years it was only 20 inches tall with 6 or 7 buds. This year it's 34 inches tall, and the first set of scapes had 16-18 buds. It has rebloom coming on every scape, and one of those rebloom scapes has 21 buds. I didn't water this one last year, so the grubs didn't go for it.

Techny Peace has never been this tall, and it's many years since it was this well-budded.

Techny Peace looks great; the polychrome tones really glow. You have pictured several Simpson cultivars. I am wary of his stuff, as those I have tried have lacked vigor and had poor bud count. I now think of him as a southern hybridizer, with questions of tenderness, whereas Selman's intros I trust more. Linda Beck is always just at the top of the foliage here--not an issue, though some years, splotchiness is. Great clump of White Eyes.

I agree with Mantis-Techny Peace looks great in that clump. WEPD also shows an amazing clump as does Linda Beck. Pretty photo of Kingdom Without End. Fancy Lace is showing those edges. Nice bunch. And spot on about the humidity!

Kate and Mantis - Techny Peace is showing a lot of pink tones with the yellow right now. It's one that really has a lovely fragrance in the evening. Most daylilies I can't smell at all. I have a pretty large clump of White Eyes Pink Dragon now. When the grubs don't eat the roots, it's a wonderful performer.

Mantis - Angels Sing Softly and Blue Over You are the only Simpsons I have. Blue Over You is a questionable performer. It has three fans, and only one has scaped. It may do better, if I ever get it in the ground. Angels Sing Softly does very well here. I intend to take it to Indy with me.

I like the Trimmer seedling, Laughing Hyena! My shape and colors, so of course I would like. Two really nice seedlings with August Frost X Winter's Treasure and Seedling SC Francis Busby X Blazing Cannons. With Gypsy Cats in the breeding, Gypsy Cats Kid X Rip Saw #1 should be a good one and it is a very pretty bloom as well. Techny Peace is lovely and Linda Beck looks very good too. I like Ocean Spirit and Venus Fire. Sweet Child Of Mine is pretty...In fact, too many pretty ones to name all of them. Lovely post, Debra.
