Flooring could be European Oak. Many sources for engineered from 7-12" wide planks in flat cut to show the full grain structure of the wood. Monarch Plank is one.

This species is different than domestic white and red oak.

Your floors are fine, I'd spend the money on some colorful boho modern rugs to lighten up the spaces.

What is the wall color, I can't tell from your photos. Is it more of a cool gray or a warm greige?

Mainly white with grey accent walls in living room and off white in bedroom

Right now your spaces look like a good mix of warm and cool tones. Be mindful of balancing the warm and cool tones when you make changes or purchase new things.

One of the misconceptions about neutral colors is that the go with everything. But they often don't work together. For instance, if you put a grey sofa in a room with neutral warm walls and floors, it's likely to look off.

Warm and cool can look great together, you just have to make sure there is a good balance. You can make a room look cohesive and balanced with patterns, pillows, rugs, art, etc.

The floors are dark but are a good neutral color and grain. Dark floors do show a lot of dust, dirt and pet hair so if that is a concern, you might want to change them just for that reason.

If you like color and are leaning into the modern boho look, a saturated jewel-tone sofa would look great in your space. Gold, emerald, blue, rusty orange even salmon pink!

If that's too adventurous, purchase a light/medium gray or tan sofa (not a sectional) to anchor your room. You can add bright colors with pillows, a fun side chair and art.
