Staircase help!! I have to pick a stain for my red oak treads. As you can see my cabinets are not finished but they will be black. I was hoping to do a white wash stain on the stairs but the builder told me it would look uneven because of the red oak. My other option was to go black, but will it be too much black going on if I have black cabinets and a black stair case? I could also just add a clear coat but there are obvious color differences in the wood. I unfortunately don’t have a full picture of my staircase but you can see it behind the bar table. Any help is appreciated!!
