Stiull no rain? I am so sorry, it is very hard to do without it. My Rainbow Maker is very insipid and not nearly so nice as yours. Pink Aloha is often pale here also. Makayla Jenelle looks very good. The Food Channel is very pretty as is Dennis Russel. And, I like Pray Without Ceasing.

I thought for sure you would be in the path of the storms that blew thru. Great color on Lavender Blue Planet but does it hold up in the sun? Warmer Climes looks good in a clump. Interesting no pics on the other garden forum of it but the Daylily Society registration site does have a photo but a deeper yellow. Nice group of pics.

We did get the storm here last night but not a great amount of rain. Just enough to refresh the garden.

Like Kay, my Rainbow Maker is a weak/insipid performer. Year of Jubilee is a pretty one. Philistine Champion makes a nice clump as is Neon Flamingo and Makayla Jenelle.

We got a surprise shower Monday morning. Not quite an inch, but it also knocked down the temperatures to the low 90's. A brief but much appreciated day off from watering.......We've been having these colder then normal winters for a few years and last year it finally got Maykayla Jenelle. I had her for years and she was so reliable.......I got Green Icon this year too and it just bloomed. What a gem. 102 degree heat and the substance of its petals was still nice and thick. I'll post this amazing dayllily later.........Lavender Blue Planet is just glowing. Nice photo.....Nice to see what Pray Without Ceasing looks like in a garden setting. I'll have to look it up because I don't remember the advertised plant having that base color. I thought it was more purple........Maryl

So sorry you didn't the rain this week. I love the colors on Lavender Blue Planet! Warmer Climes looks fantastic in a clump. Mine has not increased in its pot. Pink Aloha gets almost white except the edge when temps are in the high 90s here. Are the scapes above the foliage on it? I'm surprised about the comments about Rainbow Maker being insipid and a weak plant. Mine is pretty vigorous and, unless temps are in the high 90s for a protracted time, the color of the blooms is OK. However, my blooms on it have never been 9 inches (typically 6-7 inches). Are yours that large? Green Icon has a striking bloom!

Pray Without Ceasing is a magenta color. Emmerich describes it as a grape cranberry magenta. Perhaps it will look different in cooler weather. Warmer Climes here is not the bright yellow as on website. I actually like the lighter yellow color. Again, may look different in different weather, though was lighter last year too. Surely, your Rainbow Makers will pick up. Lavender Blue Planet holds its color quite well as I recall. Nothing likes 95, of course.

Your daylilies all look great despite the rainless days…..watering is difficult at times. same here with the heat, pale blooms and ratty flowers at times. Love Green Icon, wonder if it would work here. Wild Cherry Wine is nice despite the weather. Lavender Blue Zplanet is a stunner.

Yes, Rainbow Maker is around 6 inches. Pink Aloha just above foliage.

I am sorry you didn't get any rain. We got about an inch which really made a difference in the garden.

Our Man-eater has never been tall, but we visited a friend's garden yesterday and his was almost waist high. Ours will be moved soon. It is suffering, I think, from too many weeds. I like Dennis Russell too and Warmer Climes is a good grower here. I just sold one of them. Mike Derrow sent it as a bonus two years in a row. Either it's a good grower or a poor seller (or both).

WC does grow well. Wow, you sold it $12 for a clump. That doesn't do it justice. I treat it as a superior recent intro that warrants a $20-$30 price. What I don't like about Mike's pricing is that he will list an intro at $100 and then dramatically reduce the price in a few years. That's insulting to intro buyers.

Man-Eater is somewhat taller here this year, but certainly not waist high.

I always enjoy seeing Wild Cherry Wine. Such a pretty flower. Lavender Blue Planet is a great color and eye. I don't recall seeing the Food Channel before. Very nice.
