From first glance why noyt just extend the deck right across the front of the shower. Why do you have an outdoor shower ? Why a patio not a deck . Too much info missing.

Because we want an outdoor shower and for it to be separated from the deck. We don’t typo shower and eat next to each other.

We want to be able to walk out of the shower and not walk thru grass and dirt and bring I into the house.

Do you want the walkway and patio to come in front of the deck so you can enter the house from one of the two doors on the deck? Or are you planning a walkway around to the left side of the shower to enter the house through another door? Picture doesn't show what's over to the left.

At any rate, something like TechnoBloc or other pavers in grey tones that match the deck and house would look nice. Plantings would always depend on where you live and the length of sunshine you get out there.
