Last Snowflake is always lovely. It's not well budded and is short, but we really like the flower.

Here is the seedling Queen today. Sometimes you need to make those wacky crosses because you can get interesting seedlings. This is Heavenly United We Stand X Raggedy Man. Raggedy Man is a soft orange toothy. I didn't think I'd get teeth. In fact, I wasn't sure what I would get. We love the lighter edge and there are some tiny teeth too. This is only a first year bloom. I wonder how it will change as it matures.

How did we get this beautiful yellow out of Bucky Beaver (orange) X Samsational (orange red). It's a nice flower--large with a lot of teeth.

The Bucky Beaver seedling is my favorite. I like teeth that are more on the "fringy" side similar to Larry Grace's Dr. Ceila Stump from years ago..........Speaking of yellow, Gryphon John Galt's flowers do look very large. I bet they show up from across the path........Debra's seedling is also looking good for you....................Maryl

Did you take any pictures at your friend's? The Queen is well chosen. It will be exciting to see it in the future. Highly Venomous is indeed striking. As is the Abilene Lillian seedling. Is Abileen hardy with you? How is it that you are into very late cultivars, such as Last Snowflake? How is Carnosaur in terms of bud count, growth, plant habit?

I agree the Queen is quite striking as is Debra’s seedling. I do like the Bucky Beaver yellow seedling -it looks bright! My Last Snowflake has long finished blooming but I agree about liking the flower.

The seedlings are the beauties today although Buena Fortuna is a lovely one. can't decide if I like Heavenly Uniited WeSTand X Raggedy Man best or the lovely yellow from Bucky Beaver X Samsationsl but both are lovely.

Thanks for showing my seedling! The eye and petal color look darker in your climate. Did the other one survive? It was the evergreen. I love the Queen seedling for today. The red is so vibrant, and I love those lighter orange edges. I'm quite taken with the first Bucky Beaver seedling too.

I typed this response to questions once and then didn't post it and then closed the thread and lost it so here goes again.

Debra, both of the seedlings survived but #2 is bigger than #1. #1 has more buds so I'll post a picture when it opens more.

Mantis, Abilene Lillian has been hard for us and has performed about at registered stats.

Last Snowflake has never bloomed late for us. We do, however, have several late bloomer that are already flowering--Reindeer Antlers, Golden Glitz, Lady Stephanie Victoria Redding, Hot Buttered Rum. I guess it's the weird weather.

Carnosaur has not impressed us with vigor. However, It was a club plant and had to be divided in its third year. So essentially, it is starting over.
