Have you done similar project recently?

I am thinking to do epoxy coating for my 2 car garage. The garage is pretty much empty, except cabinets along the left and right side of the wall. Before jumping into this project, I am trying to find out how much budget and time I need to prepare. Of course, I want the job to be done professionally, with all the necessary prep work. And hopefully the paint sticks to the concrete forever.

My own research so far tells me:

1. 3 gallons of paint is probably enough.

2. Choose a color that makes it not too difficult to locate something accidentally dropped to the ground.

The location is SF south bay area.
