Painting an open concept layout

I am about to start painting my house. We've landed on Fog Mist (Benjamin Moore - it's nearly identical to pale oak for those of you familiar with the paint brand) for the entry, stairwells, family room, breakfast nook (basically most of the house). We will do accents in the bedrooms, dining area, office. That said, I am also painting my kitchen cabinets accessible beige. Im worried that there might not be enough contrast between the cabinets (accessible beige) and the wall color (fog mist). I have an image below of the paint chips - maybe I'm over thinking ?
My question - do you think it would be okay to keep the kitchen walls white dove (current color) and paint the adjacent walls all pale oak (see images below for an example).
Thanks
