Need help with beige life..Years ago we put in maple floors for 2 reasons, I wanted to keep the house light and, as you"ll notice from pics, I was a color phobe. I'm ready to move on but need help (See attached photos). Question 1. - Do I keep my maple floors natural and paint all the walls or try to stain floors darker (a look that I love b/c I don't have) The downside to staining is that the floors are throughout whole house and maple is hard to stain. Question 2. My cabinets are a glazed cream color. I'd LOVE to paint them white and create that White/gray toned kitchen. Could I do that with the floors? and if so, what would you recommend (tile/walls etc).

Finally, would love stool and light fixture recommendations as well as well. Then, once I figure out kitchen direction, I can move on the rest of house:) (which is an open floor plan so everything is related.
