Ideal Place for Recessed Lights Over a Bathroom Vanity?

last year

When placing recessed lights over a 2-sink vanity that goes the length of a mirrored wall (with make-up area in the middle) -just a gutted room now, so sorry no pics-where is the ideal place for recessed ceiling lights to be placed over the vanity in terms of depth from the mirrored wall. For instance, should each recessed ceiling light go directly over the center of each sink, or is it best to install them closer to the mirrored wall? In other words, is there a standard distance in terms of depth that is perhaps the most aesthetically pleasing? Also if there is a make-up area in the middle of the vanity, should a light go over that area, too? TY very much!
