This quilt would surely keep you awake at night.

I saw this pattern made up and I loved it. So, I thought about all these KF fabrics I still had and decided to use them in the pattern. If you are using his fabrics you have to go big or go home, so my blocks are bigger than the pictured quilt. And what I thought was going to be a great quilt, has me shaking my head.

Finding a binding was a test. I tried several colours but found this burgundy/maroon and I like it. And to cap it off, I had the perfect thread to use on it. Several years ago, Sharon was telling about all the thread packs on Connecting Threads. Well away I went and purchased quite a few of them. Some get used repeatedly, while others, such as this one, still have their wrappers on.

Theresa, I love your quilt!! It’s bold and beautiful. The binding is perfect for the prints. What did you choose for backing? You are quite the quilting machine.

I can’t tell what color the thread is. I recently ordered several new colors of thread for my longarm. I tend to go with neutrals, but having a choice is fun. I’ve found that pastels can be really interesting.

Theresa, I think it's wonderful! I can imagine it going to a teenager - it's perfect!

I'm curious, too, what backing fabric did you pick?

The backing is not what I had planned, That order never came through, so i grabbed something from my stash. It is a pale , narrow blue white stripe. Might be a good choice anyway to tone down the wild and crazy front.

The thread colour is barn red, Lois. one from Connecting Threads.

Just got back from a four hour visit to ER. The old body is falling apart. Gratefully though, today was a positive day., and I am good to go, for another day anyway.

Wait… the binding is sewn with that barn red, but the quilting is done with a pale yellow. Even with all those threads I have, sometimes you just can’t get one to work with your quilt colours. I do have several spools of variegated thread, They work…sometimes.
