The color of your rock dictates the color for your house, and your roof. A darker gray (charcoal), is a good choice for the roof. The one you have now, is also a good color choice. Fawn brindle, does not go with your roof although, it could go with your stone. I like the color of the house now, but, understand about wanting a change. Pick a color that goes with a dark gray /charcoal roof, and with the stone, which is mostly in the gray tones. Very pretty house. No brown colors

I think fawn brindle would be great, would go with shoji white trim, as SW recommends it, which means it should look good together in all lights. I'd do the Rookwood brown shutters.

I agree, you do not need any variegation in the roofing. I have a stone house all the way around it and the colors the roofers mentioned, looked awful with the busy stone. Once you get the roofing on, then put samples of the fawn brindle in different areas (on poster paper, not the house itself), and see how the colors will look together. I did look up old english pewter, and its got a lot of variegation in it and is a bit lighter than I would like on your house. Get some shingle samples and lay them out on the roof. It will help you a lot.
