I have edge pulls in my kitchen (from ikea) on everything including my dishwasher. They work great. They would not work on a subzero because those doors are much harder to open.

My parent's ancient subzero had pulls like this. You did have to wrestle them, but then again the subzero seals are so great you have to wrestle any door of theirs.

From their appearance above, successful pulling depends on finger strength, whereas a large bar pull such as used on SubZero units depends on hand palm strength, which will be greater. Concur that an edge pull would probably be unsuitable for most in opening my SZ 632.

If you search for "appliance pulls" on sites such as Emtek (manufacturer) or Pulls Direct (seller), you won't find edge pulls. They're suitable for cabinets but not heavy doors like those on refrigerators which are made even more difficult to open by their seals. If you don't want a refrigerator will protruding handles, get a model with recessed handles such as this LG LRYXC2606S or Bosch B36CT81ENS.

SZ columns will be hard to open with edge pulls, but a FD model not as much.

I had 24" SZ freezer column and 36" SZ fridge column in my previous house and now have 42" SZ FD fridge/freezer in current house.

That appears to be a refrigerator from Fisher and Paykel back in 2019, if the facebook post below is accurate. I briefly looked to see if they are showing similar handles on flush mount refriferators. I didn’t see any. And their refrigerators are not great based on reviews.
