Charcoal black or navy

Pull a light or medium gray from the stone on the garage, and for the love of all the gods, paint the brick the same color as the trim.

In my defense house was built in the 90s.
I’m not against painting the brick however… I’ve read horror stories about painting brick.
The trim will be same color we paint the siding. Do you recommend brick same color? Or whitewash?

You need to prep the brick correctly for the paint to stick. There is a house around the corner from me that was painted and the paint peeled off in sheets. The contractor who painted my house is a specialized painting contractor who mainly works in the hoity toity MD/DC/Northern VA area. Lots of very expensive painted brick homes as well as colonial era painted brick homes. I have no problems whatsoever in my own painted brick house. People will tell you that brick needs to “breathe,” which is laughable. You are only doing a couple columns and a bit of trim, and the red brick pattern does not go well with the house. If it’s a veneer, I would even consider removing it and replacing with wood or vinyl.

I'm a no problem with painting over ugly brick person, but I think yours looks fine. I wouldn't paint the brick.

I would pick a light or medium gray from the stone, and paint the siding, all the same color. I dont generally recommend that you paint brick either, but, you only have small amounts of brick, and it goes with nothing on your house, so yes, I too, would paint that brick the same color as the trim, maybe a nice charcoal gray, that does not look blue.

There is actually a lot of brick on the house.
