Technically second hand knowledge…my son used Scherr’s doors for his IKEA kitchen. The heft and quality of the doors, was most impressive. You'd have to purposely take a hammer to the doors, to damage them.

His are stained wood. Can’t speak to how well painted doors will hold up.

IMO why bother with te Ikea boxes since their warranty is for the whole cabinet , I have been doing Ikea kitchens for a very long time and have always found a door to make my clients happty so what is your issue. BTW ikea has some of the most pratical intterior fittings too. I have one client who had 5 kids 20+ yrs ago I did her Ikea kitchen it still looks awesome and the money saved was a big deal. The doors are the expensive part of cabinets

Ikea is only a bargain if you like Ikea. The whole thing. And DIY the labor. Boxes and labor are the cheap part of any cabinet project. The doors and labor customization is what is expensive. The minute you start spending 12K on after market doors and 6K on labor? Buy something better, already assembled. Look at Kitchencraft if you want frameless.

Use the search box to find more information on user experience, all of which can be summed up as great. A lot of beautiful kitchens here use their doors and boxes to customize their kitchens.
