Draw a floor plan that includes the adjoining areas.

You may as well park two king beds in there with what you are planning, which is a heavy mass of completely inflexible furniture at over 12' x 5'

which means 60 square feet of SOLID mass in that space. Which can not be changed up. You are advised it will look like hell, when you drag it in sliding doors

I suggest you get busy with cardboard boxes....: ) and a test run.

NO sectional at all. Listen when someone tells you it is too big and chaises are just bad seating in aspace where you might have guests.29" is not walking clearnace . Stop now and think a sofa and 2 chirs no sectional but maybe a couple of ottomans

Maybe look at a reclining sofa, so you use up less space when not watching TV and can use it as conversation seating too. Guests don't really want to lay back with shoes on a chaise when sitting down to chat.

We have this sofa from Bracci. Clean low lines when closed up, but the seats can do a full recline. You can also adjust foot rest, sofa back and head rest independently. Each section is modular and comes in standard or wide seat width. Also comes in family/pet friendly leather-suede.

Thanks all. We have been in city living mode in tiny spaces for the past 10 years so all of this is new! The clearance recommended seem huge to us for that reason.

Side note: this is our TV room mainly just used for 2 people daily. For entertaining, we will have a living room that will have more than the enough recommend clearance. That said, we will use a smaller sofa for this space.

Do a FLOOR plan for the entire new space. A living floor. Don't put any thing but walls, windows, and openings and where the openings lead. Don't add furniture to it.

Label the rooms.

Take pictures of your new space, all the rooms. You have not a CLUE what you are doing: ) How do I know?

That you even contemplated the behemoth sofa combo for that space, and then insisted it might work? Tells me all I need to know.: )
