Have finally settled on installing engineered wood flooring. In my way too many hours of flooring research, I have seen those with EWF complain that their finish is "hazy" or they can see footprints or water spots etc. We have had EWF in our great room for 20 years. It is a medium tone hickory with a semi-gloss finish and we have had ZERO issues with it being hazy, seeing footprints, etc. It has been fantastic. However, semi-gloss is not what's "in" these days - most are very matte (like DRY feeling) or satin.

We are leaning towards a light brown color of EWF.

If you have EWF, do you have matte or satin and have you had any issues with it showing prints, being hazy, showing stains, whatever ?

Bonus points if you can share your brand and color of wood flooring and what you like and do not like about it. =0)
