They probably didn't have the opportunity to leave or call in to their boss. I just had the power company out and replacing a pole back in my yard that is several hundred feet off the road, and the tree guys came in and took down a bunch of stuff first. If me or my neighbor had come out and been nuts they wouldn't have had anywhere to go. However, how tree stuff is done here is the owners are visited and they sign off on a removal wavier so we know when tree crews are coming and what they are doing. I would assume the same thing happens there- but maybe this guy wasn't in the loop and freaked out when the crew showed up.

Weird enough, I thought this topic would have been about a news story on the Chicago news this morning. A Schaumberg man has been charged with attempted murder because he shot a landscaping tree trimmer doing his job. The man thought the trimmer was making too much noise.

Geez, what is wrong with people messing with tree trimmers?
