Move the tv and console to the center of the wall. They don’t have to be centered on the couch. Do a quick floorplan and you’ll get some good suggestions.

You need a wider lower cabinet for the TV to be hung at proper viewing height and centered on the wall no ladder for sure and at some pint new furniture that does not fill the entire room . No setional and no chaise . Lighting and not sure where that can go in this very crowded space . A to scale floor plan would help and are you into buying new pieces?

either get a longer credenza, or center what you have... just mount the TV on the wall and remove everything for a cleaner look.

Is there any lighting in the room? If you have to keep that cabinet (which is too short for the TV), add a floor lamp in the corner. Otherwise, get a longer, lower cabinet and put a tall lamp to the left of the TV.

Showing the entire room would be more helpful than just that small wall. From some of the responses you can tell it didn't register about the slider and keeping the sectional where it is now. I don't see what purpose a floor lamp would serve in a corner.

Centering the tv on the furniture makes no sense in this room. And especially when your furniture is huge. Center it on the wall, then you won’t need anything to the left of it.

Keep in mind that you're inviting some design pros and people with a design eye into your home via photos. If they walked into your actual space, they would take in all of it: all four sides, doorways, floors, windows, ceiling, built-in fixtures, lighting, trim--the "givens"--then the features that can be changed--furnishings, paint, art, rugs, decor items, etc. It's all one first impression. Same thing with photos. That's why it's important to provide well lit photos of the entire space, taken from all sides of a room regardless of the size of your problem.

For now, just move the console so it's centered on the wall, and you won't need ladder, plants, etc. Get a wider console or bookshelves that fill the entire wall.

Thank you for the extra photos. As others have suggested, just get a wide console (sometimes they can be found on Craigslist or FB Marketplace) that can go across the wall. Or check out Ikea and Wayfair. A wide, low bookcase would work, too. Light finish for anything you get to balance out the huge black screen. The TV looks squeezed over the small cabinet you have.

I understand if it's not in the budget but the tv cabinet that you currently have is too high and not wide enough for size of the tv. It's pretty so maybe it could be moved to another part of the house. If moving it isn't what you want to do or budget doesn't allow, then I'd center it on the wall rather than it being centered with the sofa. Drop a cord through the walls or use a cord cover to hide the cords to tidy up the looks. It's a pretty room and your furnishing are nice, so enjoy your new space!
