kitchen backsplash ideas
I need some assistance picking a back splash for my modern kitchen. I have quartz grey concrete like counters and white shiny cupboards…what type of backsplash should I install?

2 years agoYou could get a sheet glass backsplash in white, no need to be gutsy with color, although echoing the color of the fireplace might be a nice touch. These are expensive and you have to find a fabricator who can do it. They are still not that commonly done.
Glass tile is another option. It sounds like whatever you go with it will be white. This is Fireclay Tile in Egret and it comes in matte and gloss. The matte almost disappears in the backsplash. Consider mixing two sheens of the same color for a beautiful, dimensional effect.

being a big open space..and the floor in a warm tone..yet that fireplace section all gray ..I'd try to marry those two......you have enough white. Backsplash is a nice spot to marry things of different tones in the same space. I would seek out something porcelain and really beautiful that connects white/neutral/ some gray w the warmth of the floor.

PRO2 years agoA sheet of glass backsplash in white might work really well for your kitchen. You could also look at doing a simple white backsplash in a variety of shapes. It really depends on what you are drawn to. Below are just a few kitchens we have designed which might help you more.

2 years agoAny chance of getting more of the countertop material? Matching counters and backsplashes in light colored stone looks very clean - and modern. Stay simple.
Though white tile is another obvious choice, the repetition of the grout lines isn’t as simple as a slab of stone. If you choose tile, match the grout to the tile and use a herringbone installation to make it more interesting. Stacked tiles or tight herringbone can look very modern?
