My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Need help with front entry door design

Hello Houzzers!


We're replacing our front door and need input on the design left and right. Thank you in advance!


Here's what we started with:


It is currently in this state:


Here are 2 photos (mockups) of the door we'll be installing. The first photo shows applying clapboard left and right, as is on the rest of the house. The second photo shows applying a bead-board look left and right of the door.

We can't center the front door, so please don't suggest that. Fortunately, from the angle of approach, it looks centered. To counter the off-center issue from up close, we're thinking we can put a vase or something similar like this.


Which do you prefer and what modifications might you suggest? Thank you!!
