Here's a couple of choices if you're looking to depart from the yellow. The orange of course is contrasting while the blue would be a much more subtle choice.

It will probably cost more than a new chair to reupholster. Are the chairs good quality furniture that you're willing to spend a couple of thousand dollars on?

The curtains are very pretty but the black wall doesn't complement them. Maybe the sage green from the curtains would be better.

Alot depends where you live. If by the water, consider blues and greens. Repeating the colors you find oudoors in your neighborhood is usually a good choice. Looking out your window you have alot of lovely vegetation,. I'd go wit a rich dark green with pops of brighter colors in your lovely curtains. I would stay clear of busy patterns as that tends to take away the attention from your curtains. Personally I'm partial to natural looking fabrics like linen which comes in nearly every color. Consider a nod to denim, with pillows and throws in various colors of blue. They don't have to match. Good Luck.

Jck10 - I’ve gone back and forth a million times on just replacing versus reupholstering. Total to reupholster both chairs plus the ottoman is about $2700 (including my initial first choice of fabric at $79/yard I think). The furniture is lazy boy which I think is decent.
