Tysm! Unfortunately the couch stays because of the price but I'm happy to change the papasan and rug.

Remove the mirror and the papsan for sure . IMO choose art firat then rug you might find a one color shage could be a good choice to go with the art you buy becuase you love it. To me all the things I see say county style is that what you want? I have never loved white painted furniture anywhere except maybe in abedroom.

Can you post more pictures of the room? would like to see all 4 walls which would help in giving valuable suggestions.

It’s important to first consider a color combo/the style you are aiming for, and how you can incorporate what you have. Don’t start buying without a plan and be careful not to fill up the space with lots of little items (do you need the coffee table), can chair go into corner and move the plant stand next to the plant - it’s a small space and less will be more. Start with a rug and go from there.

Adding a different neutral/gray rug won't make your room any livelier. Same with the black and white art.

Choose a piece of art first, then add things that echo the colour of the art. The simplest would be removable covers for your cushions, chair and sofa. Buy a can of spray paint in your selected accent colour, and coordinate your plant pots.

Move your rug towards the TV. The feet should be on the rug but only by a few inches. I don't think you need a new rug.

Move your mirror behind the plant stand to throw light back into the room, and to double the visual impact of your plants. Put the larger plant near the window too, and raise it up on something so it gets more light and helps fill that corner of the bare corner.

Move the chair to where you now have the mirror.

What colours do you like to wear? Choose some wall art that has those colours.

Don't know what your favourite colour is but here's an example that takes away from all the greige, white and black. Same idea can be done in another colour scheme.

- Roman shades in natural colour on the window

- Bring in some light natural wood

- Replace the papasan chair with a smaller scale rattan chair

- Accessorize (accent pillows, art on the wall, side tables, lamps)

There might be a better furniture layout possible but without a floor plan nor more pictures can't make any more suggestions.
