By itself, Olmo is a much prettier cabinet, but I don't think it goes well with your floor.

I agree with Diana Bier and Patricia Colwell. None of the floorings and cabinetry selections go well together. The flooring and cabinetry should compliment each other. Both of the warm flooring samples are gonna fight with the cooler gray of the cabinetry.

ok help me understand. the floor is the gray on the left with the cooler subway tile so what would be a better cabinet color and how about countertop? i was thinking white for counter or concrete epoxy/resin treated

If you are determined to use a blue backsplash tile, then everything around it needs to work. A white kitchen and countertop will highlight the tile.

In this kitchen, you can see how light the floor is. I’m not sure the floor you chose will get you the look you are aiming for.

Okay I see what you’re saying. For sure the tile floors will stay but the backsplash can be changed i had these from a previous build.

Would the subway tile and the floors work if I did two toned cabinets? Glossy white mainly on top and one of the cabinet colors for base? Or is that awful?

If everyone is saying that the cabinet colors don't work with the floors, they still won't work if you paint the uppers and have the natural wood on the lowers. A countertop won't magically make the floors work, especially with the lower cabinets being the natural ones.

The backsplash is the least of the problems, that tile could work with either cabinet color. I'd change the flooring if that were my house--it's so gray and dreary. The cabinets at least have some life in them.

Oh, okay, I guess the gray flooring is not negotiable. In that case, I'd do painted cabinets, in a color that warms up the room. I'm not wild about the gray color on the walls either.

Color of the walls can change what do you suggest for warmth then?

Ivory cabinets, not white. Ivory walls, not white. It will lighten up the whole room and still work with your floors.

Are the tiles an absolute? Just asking. The floors make me think a creamy-caramel backsplash could work nicely.

Green/teal/ivory (leaning yellow-ish) will warm up the room.
