What is MEP?

I'd guess MEP is a mechanical room of some sort, since I think that's a water heater in the corner ... not sure how anyone gets into it with no doors, but I suppose that's not really the question at hand.

Two people, I'm guessing since you said 'our'. What features do you want? Double sinks? Tub? Giant walk-in shower? Lots of drawers in the closet? Mostly hanging in the closet?

The door was removed as I was moving walls around and forgot to add it back. Yes, it is my wife and I.

The features I would say would be a single sink and a space for linens/toilet paper, as we are never getting ready together. A 66"+ tub at a minimum and a walk-in shower (it can be with the tub to make a wet room, or it can be separate). For the closet, I would say two dressers minimum and the rest hanging, with space for long dresses. The only thing I'm not 100% one is the toilet and if it should be in its own enclosed room or not.

You could do something like this:

Bathroom:

I included a wall between the toilet and bathtub ... make it a room if you want, I left it just partitioned.

Now that I think about it again, you may want to shift and flip the shower door so you can hang towels on the wall next to the door.

Closet:

I gave a rough mock up of what could go where in the space. Dashed line indicates where hanging would end, and dotted line indicates how drawers would open.

Flex indicates a section that you could put whatever you need most ... more double hang, hanging over drawers, hanging over shelves, hanging over shoes ...

If you want upper shelves, I would put them either over the drawers or swap out the hanging that's over the shelves on the west side.

I included a spot for a mirror, but that could be an accessory rack, shoe rack, a chair, or just left blank if you like.

There isn't really room for an island, but you could probably fit a small bench in the middle if you wanted.

If you are brave and are totally committed to coming up with the best possible house design for yourself, post the full flor plans, exterior elevations, and proposed site plan in another discussion.

WARNING: Posting your entire floor plan opens you up to facts you may not want to know, but should. Be prepared for suggestions that will make for a better design. Keep a thick skin, open mind, sense of humor, and a glass of wine within arms reach. Here are a couple more ideas. These provide you with light privacy for the bedroom if you get up at different times. You could switch the tub and shower in the second one.

Some people might want a door from the laundry room into the closet, which could work in the first layout. You could also do hanging on the lower left wall in the first layout and two dressers on the back wall with a door into the laundry.

Recommend open adjustable shelving, vice dressers in the closet.

Don't know that you're really there, yet, since you're still moving walls, but The Container Store has some nice options for kitting out your closet ... cabinetry-style, modular wall-based, or simple wire (which can be trimmed out at the time or later). I would get the drawers as part of whatever system you choose rather than trying to combine a closet system for the hanging with furniture for the dressers, unless you have some sentimental tie to your dresser(s).
