I own a Miele combi-steam oven DGC7640. It was last month that I first experienced a F10 error. Looked that up and it seemed to be some problem with the water supply from the water tank to steam generator. After several attempts doing descaling, which ended up in F10 again and had to do that again, the final descale programme went through and everything was back to normal.

Just last week, F10 error popped up again, and this time I tried to descale, it failed with F10 error. After restart, the descale became unskippable, so I am stuck in this loop of descales and errors.

What I need right now is a work-around so that I can still bake and roast something without steam.

What I tried:

1. Investigated the water pump, which I believe is dead

2. Checked if anywhere is clogged: as much as I can see, no

3. Get into service mode to see if I can do something: I can't even get into service mode after a long time googling

4. Unplugged it for several days when I'm away

I also ordered a new water pump, should be here after 2 weeks.
