We are seeking a contemporary look for our ranch.

Saying goodbye to the red door and going to do a mid-brown modern 5-lite front door, white siding. Hoping to later add some small vertical or

horizontal wood or faux wood accent cladding (a hardwood or composite with a teak/cedar/acacia mod-brown with some blonde-look on gables or elsewhere. Door pull will be nickel or chrome. Exterior lights will be probably bigger and cylindrical and matte black or nickel or chrome. No budget whatsoever for new garage doors (and doors aren’t functional; it’s a dry walled converted former garage), so need to paint and conceal dings with modern black or white planters with yuccas or similar and with having the cars parked in front. House number may be in silver, modern font and move to just above garage doors. Probably will get rid of the lwood molding feature (whatever it is called) above the garage doors. Here is the house with primed brick foundation and random samples and primer.

We are going with SW Alabaster for the body of the siding.

We want a clean, contemporary look and will be landscaping with a mix of tropicals, succulents and ornamental grasses, mostly green. We are keeping the white picture windows and don’t know if SW Tricorn Black around the trim will look good or random and if we should just go for a brighter white on trim. Someone recommended KM Greybeard for the brick foundation for some subtle variation? As for the garage doors, should they go white with the view to later adding the mid-brown siding on the gables above? Should they go black or does that draw attention, like two big dead rectangles? Black eaves, white fascia or black for both? KM Charcoal Grey for the front porch floor or a slightly lighter grey? Thoughts on where future wood siding accents should be?

The shaded deck at the rear of the house will likely be tri corn black or charcoal grey, if that matters.

So, my qs: while we have settled on Alabaster white for the siding, what colors for the brick foundation, eaves, fascia, garage doors, window trim, lighting, porch floor?
