Oh, that's nice: hope your new rose is a beauty!

I've been browsing through John Singer Sargent's works on WikiArt recently and found a painting of roses that look to me for all the world like 'Safrano' (you can find the painting with a search on Ecosia or Google). The Teas certainly do nicely in art.

Thanks for posting this. My LH is in its second year, first in the ground.. not as fast a grower as some other teas, but has promise.

It's always nice stumbling upon old roses painted by artists because they liked them. I remember coming across a La France once, but can't remember who painted it.

It might have been Fantin-Latour?
