Can we see some more angles of the exterior since I hate shingle siding with stucco I need a bit better view of the whole house. I would start by redoing the siding so not exactly what you are planning.

It is hard to see any sort of detail in the photo you posted.

The woodsy darkish weathered shingles on top with the white cleaner looking stucco on the bottom is a mismatch IMO. There are a lot of options when you replace your siding but a darker earthier color on the stucco and garage door would ground the house as it sits now.

Unless you want to paint the stucco twice, or don't want to change the color palette, you should be choosing the roof and siding first.

I would paint the stucco Navy Blue, including the garage door SW Naval and the trim a Bright White. Add a bright colored umbrella for the deck.

I've tried a few darker colours in my tests and prefer the white stucco. Painting the garage door the same dark brown would be less white on the bottom section and balance the upper dark colour.

Also, I guess I wasn’t clear that due to costs, I will be keeping the cedar shingle siding and the roof was already replaced with a black asphalt shingles . As for the wraparound deck railing, I do plan to replace sometime in the future with a white railing but open to ideas.

I like the Cape Cod look but struggling with how to make that happen or if I should go in another direction.
The idea of grounding and balancing the house makes sense because it is too heavy with the dark cedar siding shingles.
Navy (Naval) is something I haven’t thought of.
