You do not mix. Ever.

Ironically, I am doing almost the reverse of what you are planning. I have chosen Kohler for the shower valves and trims, but Hansgrohe for the showerheads. These products will not be right next to each other, so I don't think it will be that noticeable that the finishes don't exactly match.

If you can find a showroom that carries both Moen and Kohler, then you can see how well the finishes match. I purchased a small cabinet knob from Kohler in polished nickel to carry around with me in trying to match that finish with other brands. I found that Rohl and Hansgrohe / Axor do not match with the Kohler PN finish (they are more yellow), but Delta's PN is a good match.

In my shower I have Brizo (valves & trim), Speakman (wall showerhead), Jaclo (grab/handheld bar and handheld), CR Laurence (door hinges), Kartners (shower door handle and shower/soap baskets). All in a brushed "gold" finish for the master and in chrome for the guest bathrooms.

I was able to see them all at my plumbing showroom and decide what finish would work or wouldn't. A single manufacturer didn't make all the products I wanted, so this is the way to do it.

Ended up giving up on the mixing since the finishes don’t work. Anyone knows any other brand that looks similar to Moen brushed gold? I love the moen products but they don’t have very good shower heads in brushed gold.

If you like the Kohler shower heads and are planning on a pressure balancing valve, why not just do Kohler across the board? We've had an older model of their pressure balancing valve for 15 years and have never had a problem with it. They have trims that match the different shower head styles, and then you won't have to worry about coordinating.

I’ve already purchased moen faucets for both my bath and vanity that’s mainly the reason why and moen seems to be a bit more affordable faucets wise and I’m kinda on a budget
