Advice on paint

Hello!

I'd like to repaint the interior of the house, and I like the existing color. I took a piece of drywall to Sherwin-Williams and they color-matched it. When looking straight on, new color is a perfect match:

The problem is, when I look at the wall at an angle, the paint starts to look much darker...

Now I'm baffled whether the house will look the same or darker after re-painting.

My question is...

1. Is it something specific to Sherwin-Williams paint? Should I try Behr/Benjamin Moore/Glidden?
2. Is something wrong with the wall, prior paint, sheen, ... ?
