Primary bedroom layout

We are in the process of designing a primary bedroom addition to our home. Attaching current drawing, but none of it is in stone. We're having trouble figuring out the layout, specifically where we put a TV for optimal viewing from the bed. Bed must be a king with two night stands. Night stands can be on smaller side. Need to keep bathroom where it is due to existing plumbing but can move closet and windows.

OR....... add closet space. shrink the bedroom to 15' length

Adjust your windows etc

Moving plumbing, when doing an addition, is the least of issues, make certain you have the bath you want

T V's can't live with them; can't kill them. I think this idea solves a lot.

The bed has a t v lift on the foot board. Click on each bed and see if one appeals to you.

Oh my, elcieg, that's something else again!

Cam 62814, it seems to me if you are starting from scratch and a TV in the bedroom is important to you, you should consider a different window placement. Then you can have a TV mounted on a swing arm, right where the window is.

I'd do it this way. You have a ton of wasted space in that BR as-is. Also, who doesn't want a giant walk-in closet? Remove the windows in there. I'd make the closet entrance a pocket door. I'd also consider a large transom window (or 2) over the bed for light and air instead of behind your nightstands.

I would not put a transom above a bed. It denies you art, is a pain to treat for light control , always looks bad, and it will end up being closed with a window treatment 24/7

Put the windows next to the bed: ) as on the drawing and pick your size

I love my transom window, @Jan Moyer, but that's ok if you don't like 'em. If we all liked the same things, life (and houses) would be really boring! I don't know why that post popped up as new in my feed; it's obviously not.

I love the bathroom layout. It has everything you need and doesn’t waste space.

I like both suggestions- to move the bed, or to add closet space. (The proposed bedroom is too big/long). But if you need an office or exercise space, consider turning the “hers” closet into that.
