Do you already own the sofa? The sofa style doesn’t really go with the modern look of the TV stand, so difficult to know what would work for end tables/coffee table. If you don’t already own the sofa, I honestly think there are more modern looking and stylish reclining sofas out there…

If couch is not already purchased and given what looks to be a smaller living area, would you consider a less bulky style. Are you also open to another color, as the same shade on walls and curtains may feel drab. It’s always good to consider the big picture and having an overall plan up front.

Regarding the tables, seeing the entire room will help, as shape and size are as important as style.

My husband insisted on leather because of the kids. I wanted a white linen couch but it didn’t work out that way. I no longer like the tv console but I can’t return it so I’m just trying to work with it. I asked my husband to move the tv down lower from the wall and the curtains higher up and that was a no as well. So I’m at a loss and just trying to make what I have work.
I need a new 8x8 rug. Was going to add a
Accent chair as well. Need to figure out what to put on the tv console to make it not look so far from the tv….. its a mess and I’m stressed

Sorry but hubby needs to do what works better and if he does not want to do the work do it yourself The TV way too high for proper viewing and honestly too large for the space . The drapes hem them if you do not want to fight over the rod height or move it yourself. White linen with kids would have been the wrong choice so gibve him that one . I find the new sofa bulky in the small space and if a recliner even worse No coffee table just end tables with arecliner since a coffee table will not function

Added a tree

Added an 8x10 rug for the area

Your coffee table should match the wood doors on your TV unit IMO.

I would select a round wood finish table that can be easily pushed around to be out of the way.

BeverlyFLADeziner gave you some great ideas. Show them to your husband so he can see what a difference those minor changes will make in your living room. Since he got his way on insisting on a leather couch maybe he will compromise on what you would like.

Since you'll be using a reclining sofa, C-tables or side tables might work better than a coffee table.
