Don’t commit to a tile until you have your counters installed. When you do, bring home samples so you can see them in your own space and light.

Also wall finish needs to be taken into consideration so yes best to wait

I’m confused about the first photo. Is that black and beige countertop one of your options? And is the black square a backsplash tile or another counter choice (looks like Virginia Mist/Jet Mist granite)? I would definitely not choose that black and beige countertop. Seems way too bold and busy. The softer colors would be easier to live with. But agree 100% with the previous comments. It’s fine to consider backsplash options, but don’t finalize your choice until the countertop is in. Then hold up your samples and decide.

I like the first picture better. A little drama is nice! For me, the second one will get bland in a hurry. I had Delicatus granite in a home, (had to move) and I lOVED it. My only comment on the choice is that if you have a lot of countertop, and a large island, you might consider using the bold for one space, and something calmer for the other. I'm doing Delicata in my current home soon, and am trying to decide on a different thing for my Island, Possibly Pitaya White. Or, the other way around!

When you touch on a comment box to write a comment, you will see a dialog box below that lets you change your text to bold (B), italics (I), insert a bulleted, or numbered list, then you see a camera with the word Photo next to it. Click that camera. Choose Photo Library, then select your image, hit Done in the upper right hand corner. The image should appear below your text. Then hit Submit in the lower right corner.

The black backsplash is Obsidian-honed with Cambria Huntley counter. There is only 30” on each side of the range and 28” next to sink and 24” from there to fridge and 6 1/2’ across from range and sink. It look fabulous with the stainless steel fridge. I’m just thinking it doesn’t flow with the rest of the house as well as the softer colors, Corian Venetia Cream counter

I’m also thinking 1/8” instead of 1/4” grout line.

You might consider looking at other backsplash options if you're going with the cabinets and black countertop. Also make sure you have white LEDs around to make sure you have the best lighting and you'll then be able to pick a backsplash easily once the rest is installed.
