The Pride has good scent for me, improved as it aged, overall an excellent variety. Sunsprite wa very fragrant but shattered annoying fast.

Thanks, Ben! I'll keep The Pride then. :) :) Yours is AMAZING!!! What a bloomer!! Mine is nowhere near that good. :) I've found that Sunsprite hangs on and on for me. When the heat comes, they're actually crispy on the bush. So, since that one has fragrance too, I'll keep it. :)

What?! I have never known a Sunsprite bloom that dries on the stem. Every Sunsprite bloom I have ever seen explodes within 2 days and leaves a flurry of petals on the ground. You must have its heartier sister , ’Canadian Sunsprite Supreme!’

Ben...lol...I must have that variety. I've never had a bloom shatter, I cut them all off.

Irish Hope was quite a columnar, narrow rose in my garden. I would categorize it as a grandiflora in bloom habit, with good height and clusters of blossoms, say 4-5, normally. Nothing spectacular about the individual bloom, but the cluster effect was very nice. Fading from light yellow to cream/ivory in color was a bloom asset. Altogether, a good bush, having good vigor, but a black spotter here. Would recommend to a low black spot pressure location. I no longer grow it.

The fragrance was not memorable.

The Pride’s fragrance has strengthened for me and Wild Blue Yonder is medium+ strength.

Sunsprite is extremely fragrant for me, which is why I now have 4 of them (I ran across one at HD in January and couldn't resist another). But my climate is very mild, so the blooms last well for me. Now, if any were blooming for the past four days, they probably would have fried in our current 95 degree heat wave :-D

Moses - I don't mind columnar roses. :) Cluster effect is something I don't have much of. :) :) Oh, it black spots. We don't usually get black spot, except for this year. Hmmm. Dang, another blow...not much fragrance. Thanks, Moses!

Oursteeler - Oh, that's good to hear that The Pride's fragrance improved. Really? Your WBY has medium+ fragrance? Diane, says hers hasn't any fragrance. I think that's what she said. lol My WBY looks good and is blooming well. I guess I'll keep it. But, I have at least 10 new roses coming, lol, I have to get rid of some since I garden in pots and only have so much room in the garage. But, I guess I'll keep it. :) Thanks!

Susan - out temps haven't gone past 90F this summer and that was only for a few days...So Sunsprite does quite well. Mine has no fragrance. I guess this is another one to keep. What am I going to do? lol I need to buy more pots and try to convince my husband that we don't need much room to walk around the car so we can accommodate more pots.
