I have always used Van Engelen and Brent and Becky's Bulbs. Remember, you get what you pay for - by the time Home Depot and other big box stores have put their fall bulbs on sale they have been sitting in warm rooms, next to forced heat, or other areas that aren't ideal to store bulbs for any length of time. My past experience with cheap bulbs is that they are not always what they are advertised as and most of the time were something completely different than the name and picture on the package.

If you are ever in doubt of the quality of any plant material that you buy online you can always refer to the Garden Watchdog that has reports of gardener's experiences with plant suppliers, good and bad.

Ive had good luck with bagged bulbs at Costco in the past. I normally order what I want from VE or B&B as below...

There really are not very many honest bulb companies anymore in the USA. John Scheepers/ Van Engelen (same company) and Brent and Becky's seem like honest businesses. Dutchgrown.com is decent. Some other garden companies can have decent bulbs like Fedco. Any others?

Easy to Grow bulbs has got very sketchy, sometimes decent and sometimes lousy. Many of these glossy bulb companies, owned by the same parent companies, are pretty much luck of the draw. You could get decent bulbs, mislabeled bulbs, or total crap and they do not care like whatever but you can try to get refunds.

Really have had no real problems with Netherland Bulb company bulbs that are sold by my local garden centers, you can see what you buy. Look to see if you can find interesting bulbs, the best value is shopping local independent garden centers.
