these are custom but you can find similar from many makers. "soft" transitional to my eyes so you can meld the kitchen with the rest of the home. nice shade of gray "pussywillow" paint but gray is trending OUT. the use of same counter and backsplash material gives a nod to the clean streamlined feel and that may work in your case if you want the shaker door in some form.

I had to look up slab inset to see what that combo even looked like and I approve! I think it elevates the slab look, gives a hint more detail, but not in a traditional or over the top way. I presume you are aware that inset costs more and you lose a few inches of interior space with them. If you have the space and budget to use them, I think it could be an amazing, more subtle look than just going with the expected full on slab.

Slab insets are beautiful and interesting. Definitely do it.

Sure, add 30% to the cost, and lose storage. Modern says FRAMELESS, not inset.
