Sight unseen and very limited info offered, use 4" white subway tiles.

Find a large format (12x24 or 15x30 for example) plain white or cream tile with very little veining and do the bathroom floor plus the shower walls. You can even make a niche for storage in the shower using a whole tile. Use a smaller mosaic type for the shower floor for safety. Plan the shower wall tile layout horizontal and it will look nice plus be much easier to keep clean.

A wooden floating vanity with a nice mirror, new scones and fixtures will look modern. Bring in color and texture with towels and accessories.

This was our 2nd bathroom used by guests. We selected 12x12 marble tile and installed on a 45 degree bias.

Overall size was 5x7 - floor area only 30+ sq ft outside the tub. Used same tile for baseboard.

The larger the tile, the more crucial the layout and the more skilled the tile setter needs to be. If you go with a larger format tile make sure you have a very good tilesetter. Some of the worst tile jobs I have ever seen have been in Manhattan.

White, white and then some light wood accents (vanity, shelving, etc.). Large tiles on the floor can be great if your tile person is a genius. If not, use subway tile in different layoutss to create interest, but keep it light.

If you are in NYC, you can go to the NJ docks where marble gets delivered and buy it for way less than any store. That’s if you want a classic white-grey-veined marble.

Save “small white bathroom” photos to get ideas on how to make it gorgeous and bright and interesting.

Simple, with a pale gray floor or pattern floor

Marble walls and floors work for small spaces too.

White subway tile can be laid different ways, and still look fabulous.

Sorry for the double posts of the photos…
