Need advice on new beach house

My house will be ready soon at the beach. I like rattan but do not want to over do it in the house. Here are some pics of the plan. I am trying to decide on bar stools and dining table and over table lights. I am including pictures of the pendants I have chosen for over the island. There will be two. The bar stools are what I like but it may be too much rattan with the pendants. The dining room I am trying to decide on chairs and the table. The picture of this table I like. Any help on this is appreciated... I am not crazy about the dining light here still looking. Are you firm on the rattan pendant? If not, a suggestion would be to have a wood pendant like what you have shown for the linear light. Use the color scheme from your rattan chairs for color concept through the space without having too much rattan.

i am thinking of changing the dining room light.....the light looks a little too rustic vibe. I love the pendants....they are 24" and I was putting two over the 10 foot island. My ceilings are cathedral and high. I want a beachy vibe but not too rustic. I really appreciate your thoughts on this.....

I think light fixtures in rattan, wicker and similar are cleaning nightmare. I love rattan and wicker; have a few such chairs in main living spaces. I’m sure I’m not getting every bit of dust out, but at least they are “ down low” where I can run dust cloth over regularly as part of routine cleaning , & if I were motivated could use soft brush attachment on vacuum.

They are not in kitchen, which I think would be even more of a mess for light fixtures.
I tend to look at ‘net photos, and even many Pro decor suggestions on Houzz, through through the lens of, how ya gonna CLEAN that?!

well agreed..... I like these so much I figure I could use a lawn blower to clean them every so often! HA. THanks for the reply.

That is an interesting idea!
I think the reason I focus on it is that the “ dust” I encounter on these rough, mesh- type materials—my dust, at least— is not the fluffy, swipe- off type on tabletops, but is knarly, embedded, and in kitchens, may be combined with grease ( maybe less if one has and uses great vented- outside stove hood regularly).

Make sure all items large enough for open space and high ceilings. The dining table is only 94, would consider something over 108. Similar with light fixture…
