Also, is gray fading or coasting in popularity in your area? Color trends are often geographic.

You can add a console table with items alongside the staircase provided the table is very shallow in depth.

Among the first things I would wish is a different chandler - I’ve always found ones like yours difficult to clean/keep clean.

We used our entrance as a gallery. Others don’t like art hung high but with the 2-story perspective it was our choice to celebrate the height.

If you do choose to get a different pendant think about its purpose. Does it add light where it's needed? Lower larger is the direction I would go.

It’s important to have an overall plan before you make any changes. An easy, inexpensive, and impactful update would be painting the door/sidelights, with a runner down the hallway.

I’m just showing examples of how to coordinate, but hold off deciding on the look and colors until you’ve finished painting.

1. consider a narrow console and a mirror on the stairs‘ wall (if there is enough space).

2. A longer chandelier with a complementary one on the upstairs landing.

3. If budget allowed, adding a runner will have a big impact.

Also suggest not having too many colors (ie: grey doors will break up the spaces). Let decor and accessories add the impact.
