Can you post photos? That will help a lot to answer your question.

Shoji White is a little dark for trim, so consider Pure White for trim. Unless you're trying to match a countertop and Shoji White is perfect, it would be better to do the cabinets in Pure White as well. Pure White is a very versatile color that goes with almost everything. But as steveetheridge says, provide photos for the best advice.

Wood cabinets and trim are enjoying a very hot resurgence. You might want to reconsider following the whiteout trend that has already passed.

I need to see the space I am not a lover of that color for trim but not for cabinets either . I rarely like greige type tones they are hard to work with and only if all colors you like tend to be warm all the time does greige work IMO. I would be looking at a more true white for both so much easier to live with. I do however need to see your space so post pics here in a comment DO NOT start another post

thanks, just added photos. I do tend to be warm all the time. I also am NOT a person who changes things because of trends, in fact I have a hard time changing things in my home for some reason. I am not changing my countertops at least not now. I will change the flooring when its all said and done.

If its a lighter look you are after, then I wouldnt be using the shoji white on either the cabinets or the trim. I would use a whiter white. Pure white would be nice, but, there are many other whites too. My personal choice, would be to add more lighting to your room, and leave the cabinets, wood color, and your trim, the same as the rest of your house. Paint wont make the room look lighter, only lighting can do that.
