You have WAY WAY too much matched up heavy furniture in the space.

It IS very warm, a it IS very yellow.

Pick the bedding, first.

You will also have a hard time with an upholstered bed, if you are trying to buy it online.......and most of what you will find, will CLASH horribly with the furniture unless you customize.

Eliminate the side tables along with the bed.

WHAT IS THE CARPET OR RUG COLOR? Because that matters as well.

Pick between the armoire and the dresser....I can't imagine a bedroom large enough to accommodate both, without overwhelming the space.

You're right, none of the colors you have sampled so far look good with your furniture. I don't even like the currrent color with it TBH. Because you had green before, are you against it now? Since you're planning on getting bedding with green in it, I think that would be the way to go. Find the bedding first and then use a shade of the green found in the bedding on the walls. You are going to have a lot of trouble finding a neutral that will work. Your trim looks too white also. The furniture is very yellow as you said. If you want something light, look at BM Linen White, Acadia White, Timid White and Mayonnaise. These are all whites with a noticeable amount of yellow. For something darker, look at BM Crown Point Sand which is yellow-green-bronze. There isn't enough yellow in Manchester Tan.

If you can:
1- prime your walls before trying to choose paint. The dark color is all wrong for your yellow-ivory furniture already , and it influences how all your samples look. I had taupe walls & did not prime before choosing new colors,, and can tell now how it affected choices.

2- Order Samplize samples. Worth the cost & cheaper than buying paints. They are “ real” paint squares & read true color. Can move them all around, for different times of day, next to furniture, next to fabrics. Plus, all lighter paints as PAINT require multiple coats on those walls to get to true color. I have Creamy in living area and it took 3 coats ( hence primer first anyway- even if start painting you might change mind & so when you paint over primer, it’ll look “ truer” sooner ).
With Samplize , let yourself order more colors or some wild cards you might not have thought of. Your furniture is a strong element & you need a very supportive wall color. Your choices seem too pale & cool. Creamy is a warm white and some think it reads too yellow for them, but it has not much chroma & I think too pale, maybe not rich enough for your furniture. May need an orange or brown undertone for more warmth.

Many better color experts on HOUZZ so hopefully you will get more help! But still you need a better process for sampling in your room.

Thank you!! yes the furniture is def too large bc we had no clue years ago lol Hubby wants to eliminate the armoire so may have to do that but then where do I put everything lol My question is...wouldn't a yellow undertone paint enhance the furniture which would be too much yellow then? Floor is dark cherry with NO rug? Where is the closet? What does the room look like before you started painting?

At some point, "years ago and we had no clue", becomes an opportunity for a nice relaxing room, or it doesn't.

What is the size of the space? Do you have a floor plan? Can you store out of season clothes elsewhere?

You really don't have enough info posted, and paint can be millions of colors. ....

Do you have a guest bedroom? What is in there?

There are a million ways to have ANY color, green is no exception. You are at what I might call.....in need of an update ? An unburdening?

However and whatever makes you want to spend time in that room and still breathe: ) Whatever the color and yes,,,,greens are lovely with cherry floors

yes def getting a neutral type rug! Room is 14 x 17. We haven't painted so the orig color shown is BM Mt rushmmore rock. Before that was fernwood green. I have 2 closets & can put clothes elsewhere but the armoire has all our jewelry, tv, books, hubby clothes, & other crap i don't know where to put lol Armoire looks bigger than it is bc its pulled away from the wall. Floor is dark cherry which u can see some of it in a few pics

I really like the green bedroom posted by Jan Moyer, the paint colour coordinates with your furniture, I would replace the bed and take out the armoire, and replace your accessories. White bedding as shown looks very nice in that scheme.

Suggest slowing down, as you really have to consider how you want the entire room to feel vs being so focussed on offsetting the furniture. Simply painting the room white will resolve that, but importantly it will have a more updated feel, allowing for other changes.

Although dresser/nightstands below are quite different style wise, note how the white walls provide a neutral/fresh backdrop and your furniture can be enhanced/tied in with the decor choices.

Instead of getting rid of the armoire, as it doesn’t take over the room, while the bed does (size and dated wise), a really good investment would be replacing the bed with a padded headboard and bedding will have a big influence.

Suggest changing the hardware, add a complementary chandelier, updated lamps, and white linen like drapes (try Ikea). Changes can be gradual, but if you have a plan, it makes it much easier to make decisions (including wall color).

yes! i forgot to mention i was changing hardware as well. Love the chandelier too :) Bed frame/headboard is already out lol I'm so hesitant to do white paint bc won't the furniture's yellow tone stick out more?

I would paint nothing until you have selected a BED AND SOME BEDDING.

Nicky... You are on the right direction. A green might work with what you have. Don't be afraid of color and pairing down to the basics. I happen to love a soft blue with your yellow toned furniture. Choosing a color can be so difficult. You are not alone. Take a deep breath you can do this! And with houzzers in your corner you will create a space you truly love.

Natural lighting and your decor will have much more influence. Decide on bed (hopefully you can update) and the bedding first.

update the lamps

Pick ONE of dresser or armoire and yank in that tone with bedding....

Put some texture on the floor. : )

and you must customize the bed color at the start, Don't underestimate how it looks against a wall color

The paint color you have on the wall is what is making the furniture look so yellow. Mind you, I have less than zero problem with the color yellow... But that wall paint is doing nothing (and I mean nothing) for your room and furniture. And neither is the grey bedding. It is all just clashing with the furniture.

I would suggest a white / cream wall paint and bring in different colored bedding.

Prime the walls with white primer, as suggested by @marmiegard_z7b . You may need two coats.

Yes to greens. I have similar wood tone in my bedroom. Years back I had a yellow and green comforter and I uese BM Guilford green.

Nowadays, I have quilt and have BM October Mist.

Yes to looking at bedding which will help direct you.

October Mist BM is very appealing and calm, muted color to me.

I need to see the new choices for sure the new bedding and you need to stop until you show us all of that . IMO the bedding usually drives all the other choices for decor and to choose a wall colr first is IMO always a bad idea. I hate beige always and so I need to see the space as it is going to be.
