My experience CUPHEA "Caribbean Sunset"

I tried this cuphea this season for the first time. Its advertised compact size was appealing as I put it in a pot.
(In the past I have always used "Vermillionaire").
The size was right but in this one off it wasn't nearly as floriferous as I have experienced with "Vermillionaire" and I don't think I ever saw "our" hummingbirds use it.
