My partner and I are planning a trip to Barcelona in December and would love your input on our tentative itinerary and any advice you may have.

We will be flying into Barcelona airport and staying for 6 nights total. So far our schedule looks like:

3 nights in Barcelona around city center

3 nights in a town along the coast like Sitges or Tossa de Mar

• For getting between Barcelona and the coastal towns, is taking the train the best option? We won't have a car.
• Any recommendations for neighbourhoods to stay in Barcelona in terms of safety?
• Any can't miss places, restaurants, activities in Barcelona or along the coast? We love food, architecture and nature.
• Should we plan on renting bikes to get around either location?

Any other tips you have from your own trips to Spain would be greatly appreciated! This is our first time visiting Barcelona so we want to make the most of it. Thank you in advance!
